Lia Rose is a San Francisco-based indie singer and songwriter who would sing this song at benefit shows for the three American hikers, Sarah, Shane, and Josh, who were imprisoned in Iran for two years. “Their story hit me on so many levels, especially since I had gone to school with Josh and I've known what a wonderful human being he is. I wished I could have played it for those in charge in Iran ... asking them to 'turn and face the sun, that part which makes you human' ... asking them to set them free. “ www.liarose.com and rose@liarose.com

ليا رز خواننده و آهنگ ساز مستقل ساکن سانفرانسيسکو است که اين آهنگ را براي سه کوهنورد آمريکايي، سارا، شين، و جاش خوانده است. اين سه تن براي مدت دو سال در ايران زنداني شده بودند. "اتفاقي که براي آنها افتاد مرا بسيار تحت تاثير قرار داد، مخصوصا اين که من همراه با جاش به يک مدرسه رفته بودم و مي دانستم که جاش چه انسان فوق العاده اي است. آرزو مي کردم که مي توانستم اين را براي آناني اکنون در ايران در راس امور هستند اجرا کنم....از آنان بخواهم "برگرديد و با خورشيد روبه رو شويد، آن چه که از شما انسان مي سازد"...از آنان بخواهم تا آزادشان کنند." ‏
